is there a mod  that allows me to zoom out farther then normal in top-down arty mode during game? (i have a good computer so processing power shouldn't be a problem) or is this type of mod not legal?

It is allowed. I have attached it. Path is Games/World_of_Tanks/res/gui <----- this folder. Make a backup of the original.

Attached Files

  • Attached File   avatar_input_handler.xml   5.3K

Does this work for the regular view too?  I'd like to get some wide-angle shots of a lot of the maps.

There is a parameter known as farplane. This limits the distance one can move from the horizontal "ground". Modifications of farplane are violations of EULA.

Noble, would you mind posting a screenshot zoomed out to the maximum allowed? I am curious to see how far out that is.

Anybody have this working on 7.1.1 yet? Seems like the avatar_input_handler.xml file doesn't exist anymore.

you need to put in in the res_mods\0.7.1.1\gui folder, it works for me

Thanks Hastyr, it worked. I just wasn't sure since there isn't that file anymore in the stock structure anymore. That works for me too.
