I'm sorry if you don't have this. This lil' slugger has amazing armor and an amazing gun. Not so amazing speed, but it IS originally a French.

What're your thoughts on it?

This.

It, the T59, and a few other elite tanks are what got me to the 13 75 (from a Stock AMX38.)

Yea the tank is a real blast. After being tired of being shafted in MM in the upper tiers I returned to the tier 2, 30 battles and 87 kills I thought wow!

Then I started to think.....I am now doing to the new guys, new guys we need to keep playing this game what I hated in the upper tiers. I feel guilty taking this tank out too often.

So I have a pzii another fun machine with auto cannon and what I use mostly
the pzkpfw35(t). I may get a H35 to try. the Tetarch is good too.

But I think we mini maus owners should take it a little easy on new guys, the tank is powerful.  :)

I think the word is out on this, I drive this tank and I am the choice target
in a match. I get 3 to 4 tanks at a time- sometimes I win big or lose specially with tanks armed with gold ammo
penetrates my front on the first shot? Any way still alot fun than fighting tiers 8,9,10 and the dreaded Chi Com  Type59

I at least tell my noobs when I'm playing this tank or H35 to shoot it's ass
even when I'm playing this tank.  Unfortunately, one of the tankers had the
gall to say this:

"It doesn't matter.  It has the same armor all around."

He then proceeded to back down after another Hotch piped up and insist that
the tank had more weak spots in the rear yet it's still worthless to shoot the
rear.  Although it was worthless to ask him at that point because the faceoff
between me and another Pz38 was intensifying (and he was being stubborn), I
still wanna ask him this:

"ARE YOU STUPID AND LACKING COMMON SENSE?!"

Unfortunately his blabbering lost us the game and all the noobs proceeded to
surrender in the face of this tank because they thought he was invincible.
I'll admit that at the time I hadn't figured out the Pz38\Hotch's weak spots
yet.

I also love this tank, got 12 kills in a round.

Two things with this tank: first, its a sniping tank, there are plenty of tanks that can pen you when under 100m. Second, the front weakspot is the comanders view port, its that box that sits on the right front side of the hull, so being behing cover that covers that but allows your turret to stick over is win.

Driver's hatch in the front hull. Very easy to pen.

Got this tank for free with a promo when I first started playing; it sure made grinding credits for my lower tiers much easier. :Smile_great:

You feel bad ?

They screwed players who didn't have one by removing it from the store so they can't buy one to equalize their chances when meeting one.

What they should have done is make it tier 3, since it has a higher Match Making Value then many tier 3, or nerf the crap out of it.

That's pure BS.

Naah, the counter to the 38H735f is the Tetrarch. I make it a point to hunt down 38H735f's in that little monster-- With camo/binocs I can put a ton of holes in the Hotchkiss before it even knows I'm there.

OTOH, I didn't find the 38H735f fun AT ALL. Yes, it has decent armor, but no speed, and an anemic gun. These days, it often faces down the low-tier French tanks as well as opposing low-tier TDs, 35t's, and Tetrarchs. It teaches bad tanking habits and has next to no ability to relocate to cover a falling flank. I find many, if not most of the people who excel in it fire gold ammo to deal with the tougher enemy tanks.

So the counter to this OP monster is a gift tank that you can't buy ?

Wow this game is perfectly balanced!

Sorry I ever doubted the geniuses at WGing.

T2 Lights can't penetrate the Hotchkiss while moving, and moving fast is the T2 LT's only advantage. I doubt that it can even penetrate the crew hatch on the front.

MS-1 with the 45 can penetrate you fine.  So can a Pz35(t), BT or M2 who takes the time to aim.  Most of the time lower tier players are enamoured of autocannons which will rarely pen a Hotchkis at anything other than point blank range.  It is strong, but not really OP anymore.  Just a lot of Hotchkis players are experienced and their tank is tooled up with gear and 100%+ crew, vs new players in basic tanks and 50% crew.  It also fights T3 battles 60% of the time where frankly it is a liability to its team.

I had the Pz38H735(f) from the start. I liked it a lot, until the Tetrarchs came out, and I faced a few Pz38H735(f) drivers that could pen me but I couldn't pen them. A Tet can kill a Pz38H735(f) in about 4 shots. I have a Tet and I seek out the Pz38H735(f) when I can. I started playing it again for the recent contest. I've learned to like it again, though it is not overpowered. It's penetration isn't great, and it is slow. I prefer the B2 when I want to play some low tier battles and make some credits.

edit - I've since found the frontal weak spot on the Pz38H735(f) so I can usually beat one with my own now, and angle my tank to protect myself. As a result, I've been accused of using gold rounds lately. I used to think the same thing a few times I got owned by other Pz38H735(f) drivers.
