Finding/requesting content
Q: I'm looking for a particular <insert skin/mod here> but I don't want to download the whole package to <see if it's there/get it>. Can you help me out? A: Check the catalogs section for the particular mod/skin you are looking for. Mods and the lot all have individual links to the spots where they were first posted.
Skins do not have individual download links, but if a skin you want is listed in the catalog, you're free to contact me via PM and request it.
Alternatively, you can always make use of the torrent, and choose to download only the particular content you are after.
It's one of the reasons, if not the main reason, I have a torrent available to begin with.
Q: Where can I get the music featured in your "My Little Pony Music Pack"? A: The archive with the source files linked below the musicpacks also contains the songs used in them.
Q: Could you create a <insert random mod/skin here> for me? A: Even if I do skin/mod a little, time constrains prevent me from actively taking requests.
If you are looking for a particular skin, then I suggest posting in the My Little Pony Skins (and Mods) DepositoryUS forum/EU forum. Lots of talented skinners frequent that topic regularly.
If you're looking for simple modifications to one of my existing mods (custom music pack, custom six sense icon, etc), then contact me directly and I might be able to help you out. Provide as much information as possible when doing so.
If your request is more complex then that, then you should probably seek someone else.
Nothing personal, I'm just very strapped for time.
Downloading/extracting content
Q: One or more download links in your topic don't seem to be working. What gives? A:: Is the text near the blue gem ... well blue? If so then the link should be working. If one mirror doesn't work, then try the other.
If neither of them work, or if the links lead to the incorrect file, then please contact me.
Q: One or more mods in your topic are in .rar format. How do I open these files? A: Most compressed file management programs should be able to handle .rar files. If the one you are using cannot, then I recommend you get Winrar.
Q: One or more mods in your topic are divided into multiple parts. Is there a difference between each part? Do I need to download all of them? And how do I extract the mod afterwards? A: Due to size restrictions with the file sharing services I'm using, I had to split some files into multiple parts.
Q: I'm trying to download your package via torrent, but there is barely any seeds. Can you seed it please? A: When time allows it, I always leave my laptop seeding during the night.
I cannot, however, force people to seed the package after they have finished downloading it. It's up to everyone to do their part and re-seed after they're done.
If need be, send me a message and If I can, I will start seeding.
Technical Issues
Q: I downloaded a mod that was linked in your topic and installed it, but it's not working. What gives? A: I try my best to have both the complete overhaul package and my individual mods updated within a couple days of a new WOT client release.
Check the topic's changelog (that's the one right after this FAQ), and see when was the last time the topic was updated.
Other then that, make sure you are installing them correctly. (also, make sure the <client version> folder contained in the mod matches the version inside your res_mods folder. That's a common oversight).
Don't forget you have video tutorials available to you in the topic (they are a bit outdated, but the basics are still valid).
If you are sure the mod is to blame, then please contact me via private message and I will see what I can do.
Also,if you followed one of the links in the mods catalog, keep in mind those lead to the post/topic where that mod was originally posted. I cannot guarantee that the author has been maintaining either the post/topic or the mod.
However, if it's present in my package, then I most likely have an up-to-date version with me. Just contact me directly and I will supply it to you.
Q: I downloaded a text related mod that was linked in your topic and installed it, and now my game looks all messed up <see screenshot>. How do I fix this? A: This is a common problem due to the way Wargaming implemented the modification system.
To make sure text related modifications work correctly, you have to go to your res folder, and copy your text folder and all it's contents into your res_mods/<client version here>
After doing so you can apply the mods you want to use.
Q: I downloaded a sound related mod that was linked in your topic and installed it, and it doesn't work properly/my game sound is messed up. How do I fix this? A: Same reason as above.
To make sure sound related modifications work correctly, you have to go to your res folder, and copy your audio folder and all it's contents into your res_mods/<client version here>
After doing so you can apply the mods you want to use.
Q: My mods don't work anymore after the new patch. Can you help? A:Most basic mods (skins, icons, text, audio) will usually work on new client versions. There might be some bugs, but they will usually work.
A common oversight people have is they forget to change the version of the res_mods/<client version here> folder to match the new client's version.
(ex. If we were at client 0.8.1 and now we are at 0.8.2, then you need to go change that folder to 0.8.2)
On the other hand, some mods are just prone to break with new patches. Usually mods that include the following type of files:
- .swf files (xvm, minimap, ui elements, etc.)
- .xml files (clan logos, setting related mods, effects, etc)
You'll have to check back with the original authors and see if they have updated their mods yet.
Generic Questions
Q: When can we expect a new version of the complete overhaul package to come out? A: I usually release a new version of the package a couple of days after a new client version goes live.
Might take a bit more depending on how much time I have available. After all, this is all done for free on my own time.
Also keep in mind I do not play this game anymore, and my only contact with it is either modification related or the ocasional post on The My Little Pony Thread.
Considering all that, I reckon a couple days delay between new client version and updated content is not much to ask.
Q: I've recently downloaded a skin, but it seems to not be working/be all black/only working if I set my texture quality to high. How can I fix this? A: First and foremost, you should immediately go scream at the skin author to commit seppuku
On a more serious note, follow these steps and it should fix your problem
1. Download & install this program: paint.net (or any other similar program that can open and save DDS images, such as GIMP or Photoshop [keep in mind both of these require a plugin to handle dds files]) 2. Open <tank_id>.dds file. 3. Click File, and then Save (shortcut: Ctrl+s) 4. The "Save Configuration" window should pop up shorty. Make sure the following options are selected. Settings (also known as compression): DXT1 Additional Options: Generate Mip Maps 5. Click Ok. 6. Repeat step 3 to 5 for the <tank_id>_CM, <tank_id>_crash & <tank_id>_SM dds files (if available)
Your DDS should now be properly saved for World of Tanks.
Q: Can I spam your topic with <insert bashful/racist/off-topic material here>, because I'm ignorant about this whole pony business and I want to make myself feel better about it by making you feel bad? A: No.
Q: Do you have access to all the MLP content available for World of Tanks? A: I seriously doubt It.
I check the more prominent topics in both the EU and US forums on a regular basis, but sadly due to linguistic barriers I have very little contact with regional sub-forums (such as the German sub-forum over at the EU) or even the massive RU forum.
I suspect there is a lot of skin/mods around there that I have never come across.
If you do find any, I would be most pleased if you could link it back to me via private message.
Q: Why did you even bother to compile such a vast number of mods/skins in the first place? A: Short answer: Love (for ponies)
I was playing this game well before I became a fan of Friendship is Magic.
As expected, my new found interest lead me in search of potential mods for it (I was always a big fan of mods).
I cannot begin to tell you the amount of painful hours it took me to find all the mods I was interested in.
How I wished there would have been a way to have it all in one place, ready, available and easy to access.
After all was said and done and I had my big pile of mods, I decided I might as well be the one to make it happen.
So that all the new fans (and old ones alike), who come in search of the same thing, don't have to suffer like I had to.
(joke is on me, since I now spend countless hours getting the package ready each time Wargaming releases a patch)
I can't draw anything to save my flank. I cannot sing, nor can I animate. So I kinda think of this as my little way of contributing .
Q: Why is your topic filled with colorful gems? A: Because they make it 20% purdier.
Q: Reading this FAQ did not solve my issue. What now? A: Contact me directly via private message and I will see what I can do to help.

My Little Pony Complete Overhaul Package (version 2.3)
[1xB0] Description:
Compilation of various My Little Pony (MLP) themed mods and skins, from various users.
Aim of the package is to modify the game as much as possible with MLP content.
This package contains mods that alter your client's text and audio files
Due to how the modification system currently works, before installing any mods that alter text/audio files, you have to go to your res folder, and copy your text / audio folders and all their contents into your res_mods/<client version here>
After doing so you can apply the mods you want to use.
[1xE0] Downloads:
- A patch will always be released with each update so you don't have to download the standalone package again.
- Hotfixes will be released if need be. These are not contained within the full package or the patch, and will need to be downloaded and applied over the up-to-date package.
Torrents:
Spoiler
Torrents contain the full package, uncompressed. You can pick and choose what you want to download.
If you're looking for a particular mod/skin, this would be the alternative to pick.
Torrent of the previous version probably has more seeders then the more recent one.
If you rather get the old version faster and then apply the patch over it, instead of waiting a bit longer for the newer version, then be my guest
A simple batch script that will auto-patch your previous overhaul package with minimal effort on your part.
Simply place the folder named PATCH (do NOT change it's name) and the file named patcher in the folder containing the previous compilation [see image].
After doing so, run (double click) the patcher and follow the instructions that show up on the command window.
note:
Patch does not update the following mods:
[MLP][Music] T90MC's My Little Pony Music Pack
[MLP][Music] Fr0stb0lt's My Little Pony Music Pack
[MLP][Music] Fr0stb0lt's My Little Pony Music Pack (lite)
You will need to download those separately from either the overhaul package's torrent, or from the forum post where they were originaly linked.
Easy-Install Packs using Nexus Mod Manager ( 2.3 ):
Spoiler
Per request, I've compiled some packages that you can easily install using the Nexus Mod Manager.
Sadly NMM is not the best software when it comes to modifications with a lot of optional content (exactly the case this overhaul package falls under).
Therefore I was forced to pre-select the content within those packages.
If you're the type of pony who just wants to get some mods installed without much of a hassle, or you simply cannot live without Nexus Mod Manager, then these might be for you.
You can still download them manually and customize them yourself, it will just take you some extra work
If you really really love mix and matching content to suite your particular tastes, then you might want to consider using Jonesoft Generic Mod Enabler. (much better software for the job)
You can find a download mirror for it in this topic, a little bit after the table of contents.
Per request, I've separated the complete package into 3 groups. core, contains most of the mods & documentation. music, contains the music packs. skins, contains all of the skins, which are in turn split into nation relevant subgroups
The sum of these 3 groups (core. music and skins) comprises the full overhaul package.
Aim of the mod is to replace most aspects related to a nation with those of the fancreated pony factions
Factions in use so far are as follows:
The Changeling Swarm (replaces the Soviets)
The New Lunar Republic (replaces the Germans)
The Solar Empire (replaces the Americans)
The Order of Discord (replaces the French)
The Crystal Empire (replaces the British)
The Cutie Mark Crusaders (replaces the Chinese)
[2xC0] Specific Information:
Mod is divided into separate folders. Each one contains a specific portion of it.
Core
Contains the files that will alter the visual content you see while in the hangar (the flags behind the tanks/crew, nation ids/icons, crew ranks).
Will also alter the nation emblems on your tanks (the russian red star, the US white star, etc...)
Base Flags
Contains the files that will alter the flag you see in your/enemy/neutral base.
There are 6 flags (one per nation), each one with 3 variants for you to choose from.
[2xD0] Pre-Install Information:
This modification (specifically, the folder labeled "core") contains content that alters your client's text files
Due to how the modification system currently works, before installing any mods that alter text files, you have to go to your res folder, and copy your text folder and all it's contents into your res_mods/<client version here>
After doing so you can apply the mod.
Replaces all ingame music (starting at the Login Screen, all the way to the battle themes) with various My Little Pony (MLP) themed musics and remixes.
It does NOT replace sound effects such as gun sounds, engine sounds, crew voices, etc.
[3xC0] Contents:
Spoiler
Contains 94 unique tracks.
The combat mix also contains 1 hidden song (bringing the actual track total to 95).
It's the only song from the series that remains in it's pure original form(that means it has not been remixed, edited or changed in any other way).
It was such a beautifully done song that I felt it needed it's special place.
Good luck finding it ;)

These multiple parts for the music mod have me very confused. I'm not quite sure what to do with them, help please?
What 3luk said. It's a multiple part archive.
Basically It's just like your normal archive, only you need to download all parts and place them in the same folder. Then just extract one of them and everything "comes out", so to speak.
Adding Dropbox links as a second download mirror for the bigger mods (heard the download speeds you get are much better then what mediafire offers).
Due to this fact, archives have not been split into multiple parts.
Hopefully this helps anyone having issues with either multiple part archives or mediafire.
Hey RelicShadow,
Was wondering if you consider taking a look at these two themes, the download links for each are in their descriptions! Theme #1 Theme #2
I found 'em and immediately though of your music mod xD
While I would prefer combat ,I would rather have it be your call since you are the one working on the mod.
While further versions of the song pack might not be coming at all (never hurts to have variety, but I have to consider the size of the mod also), I can always do custom packages at will.
Takes no further then 30 minutes after downloading the songs to get the package uploaded
Will probably add a template for custom requests to facilitate the process.
Anyway, here is your package. Didn't double check but everything should be good.
If it's not, just let me know
Good lord mate, that's mighty generous of you, the fun has been thus doubled in this game!
I shall work on upgrading and updating my skins more than proportionally.
Extreme thanks mate, I should have got into this a long time ago!
Just thought y'all might wanna know: The JSGME program does work with the 7.2 update (at least in its beta form). The music files (.fdb and .fev) are all unchanged, so music mods work fine as well (though the transition between the map loading screen and the battle is abrupt). The voice mods, however, don't work. There may be changes to the in_voice files.

Let's keep the convo going in the depository.
