First let me say that this is not my mod but i was on youtube and found this russian player in an e50 with amazing shot sounds, i really dont know why the devs made the cannons sound so lame i mean after a 100MM cannon they al just sound the same...Yea anyway here ya go-

+1, it sounds great at first but then you notice that the other guys around sounded the same...i'll be using the gun sounds cuz it's better though, just not the hit sounds lol

I reckon it sounds awesome, ambiance sounds are fantastic & you get the odd screecher passing over head from arty.

Only thing I've noticed though is that when you fire your gun, it doesn't have any sound to it, only the shell casing being ejected. Is this a "problem" on my side or was it designed this way?

No there is definitely a boom sound when you fire.
