The wire was for both camo and anti - sticky mine ..as well as n unintentional anti personel measure.
It was also sometime thought to help with heat rounds ..

LOL, that is a very, very, very, pitiful 'super heavy' tank...13-45mm......could the french build a tank with any signifcant amount of armor? The BiS was not heavily armored...it just faced Panzer IIIs and IIs at the time, so it seemed like it was, same goes for the T34/76......

By 1921 standards, it was one of the most heavily armored tanks of its day. The British MKVIII's (remember Indiana Jones) thickest armor plating was 16mm.

That French tank likely would have been very intimidating with its super thick front armor (relatively) and big ol' gun.

I just don't think they had developed the type of anti-tank guns necessary to penetrate thick armor reliably yet.

Its like hollywood thought the M3 was an APC not a tank. Maybe thats where the Canadians got the idea for the kangaroo.
